The All-New Land Rover Defender 130

The Land Rover Defender has been a staple of the American off-road scene for over 70 years. The brand is still going strong and it continues to offer a robust lineup of SUVs and trucks, including the all-new Defender 130.

Is Defender car bulletproof?

The new truck defenders offers a premium cabin that walks the line between utility and luxury, delivering on-road driving performance that’s equal to its off-road capabilities. Exposed rivets add a rugged look to the doors and a trapezoidal extension of the center stack provides a place for the infotainment system, shift lever, and ignition switch.

It’s also one of the most fuel efficient vehicles in its class with EPA estimates that range from 17 mpg city and 21 highway for the four-cylinder 90 to 18 mpg and 23 mpg for the six-cylinder 110X. Compared to its predecessor, the new model’s 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system runs Land Rover’s Pivi Pro interface and supports Amazon Alexa integration.

Best of all, it has all the right features for the job. The Defender’s big ticket items include a locking differential, height-adjustable air suspension, and a terrain mode that allows drivers to wade through deep water.

What’s not to like? The Defender is backed by Land Rover’s standard warranty package, which includes four years or 50,000 miles of coverage.

It also has some fun and functional features, including a new ladder rack that extends the load area of the truck by over 800 lbs. This is the perfect solution for hauling ladders, lumber and other large cargo.
